About me
I've been in the sector for over 14 years, and like many, I "fell into" fundraising, starting off in face-to-face. For over a year I was a fundraiser and team leader, and even then, I knew how to inspire a team to get amazing results. I knew I wanted to make a career out of fundraising, and landed an internship at a tiny health charity. My love of small charities was born.
Fast forward to now and I've done almost every type of fundraising; from hanging out with celebs backstage, to hugging sweaty marathon runners. I've sent out appeals and campaigns with letters I carefully crafted and opened and batched the cheques as they came in. I've met a huge range of inspirational people, groups and communities doing amazing things to raise money, and done a few myself, including living below the line and jumping out of a plane.

I've also learnt things I didn't think I would. I now know more about farming, the military and end of life care than I ever thought possible. And my love of learning is what brought me to freelancing, so I can meet new people, learn new things and work with a wide range of causes.
Above all else, I truly love fundraising, and my passion and excitement comes through in my work. My colleagues and clients regularly comment on my "infectious enthusiasm" or "sheer joy in fundraising". Fundraising isn't always easy, but for those of us that love it, we couldn't dream of doing anything else.
